The Round Room at the Mansion House in Dublin is a fantastic venue - literally a round room, with a domed starlit ceiling - beautiful. Ticket sales were 300% up on the first year, and people came from as far as Canada to sample Irish, Scotch & Rest of World whiskies.
Visitors ate fish and chips in a cone, while VIPs had the
choice of Morrocan Lamb Tagine or Red Thai Curry, followed by a selection of
dessert canapés and cheese and biscuits…not to be confused with ‘whiskuits’
(chocolate & whisky biscuits) which were being served at the Four Seasons
Hotel stand!
After an 18 hour day we finished off with a well-deserved
glass of champagne and a mint-julep, which is a bit like a mojito but made with
Bourbon whisky….deeelish!
