Street Feast at Battersea Power Station

I've been to Street Feast before, and blogged about the Dalston Yard location before. When we found out that Battersea Power Station was to be the location for the most recent feast, we couldn't contain our curiosity, or our hunger.

We popped over west after work on a dull, rainy evening, hoping the surroundings and the culinary delights would overcome the misery of the rain!

The power station is a building site, but it really is incredibly impressive and we felt lucky to see it up close before it gets transformed forever.

The feast was nestled in its shadow, but unfortunately wasn't quite as impressive as it's surroundings. There were much fewer stalls than at Dalston, and much less variety in terms of what they were offering. I love a burger as much as the next girl...but there were too many on offer.

We decided to shun the multitude of burgers on offer and plumped firstly for dogs 'n' tots from Dogtown.

Not the prettiest meal I've ever had...in fact, a bit beige, but the hot liquid cheese they poured over everything was undeniably delicious.

Can you tell?

Next came chicken wings; perfectly tender, but we couldn't see the difference between the two styles (one spicy, one cheesy) we went for.

Finally, came a BBQ feast from Hot Box. This, unfortunately was overpriced. £12 for a box of BBQ meat was just a bit too much in my opinion. I would recommend spending that on the sausage alone; forget the rest.

We cosied up in the champagne tent, which was lit with fairy lights and littered with comfy sofas and giant jenga, and were quickly diverted from the food to our location again.

I hope for better things next time Street Feast, but Battersea....you were stunning.
