Cyprus: Part 4

On Friday it was time to hit the beach, so we packed up the party bus and went to Escape Beach Club for the day...where the water was clear and the sand was golden...

After mostly sunbathing and being absolutely terrible at bat and ball we gave in and gorged ourselves at lunchtime.

The omelettes came with a gorgeous stack of tomato, cucumber and mozarella, held together with none other than a plastic SWORD!
Mine was a classic burger and chips - perfect after all that swimming and lazing around (!)

Fran was very happy with her omelette and chips - Kara less so with her club sandwich.

To be fair, it was the poorest excuse for a club sandwich any of us have every seen! Not recommended!

She soon cheered up in the afternoon, though, as we made claim to a rather comfortable pile of cushions on the end of the jetty.

Georgie and I then decided it was high time we got the blood pumping, so whizzed off into the distance on a jet-ski!

The afternoon was made better yet by a phone call offering Georgia a new job for when she got home! We were all very excited by this news...

The moment she heard...

So celebratory mojitos were ordered all round!

Which we sipped as the sun went down.

Our final couple of days in Kyrenia were mostly spent recovering from cocktails at CineMiles bar, followed by the end-of-season parties at Ice, near Escape Beach Club and Cave at the Cratos Hotel, of which there is no photographic evidence!

But when we finally dragged ourselves outside we did manage to muster up the energy to have one final play, swim, read and sleep before the sun set on our fabulous week of fun!

Recommended hotels in Kyrenia:

Cratos Hotel, home to Cave Club in the evenings and very reasonable prices in September for the quality

Mercure Hotel, has a huge pool and nice big cushions on a jetty over the sea

Rocks Hotel, the 'place to be' around town, right in the centre, has a great casino
