Granger and Co Catch Up

Last night I caught up with friends over dinner at Granger and Co. I've been wanting to go for breakfast for ages so jumped at the chance to see what it's all about!

The candlelight set the mood and situated in Kings Cross on a Wednesday night, the place buzzed with the clink of wine glasses and the chatter of groups of girls catching up and couples giggling on their dates.

We deliberated over our wine for a while before plumping for a white rioja, which I had never had before and would definitely recommend! It was soft but citrussy so didn't bite and went down rather well....maybe a bit too well!

After chattering incessantly for the first 20 minutes we finally decided on our food. I would have eaten anything on the menu (found here)...so will just have to go back and try it all!

Alice went for the shrimp burger, with jalapeƱo mayo, shaved radish salad and sesame gochujang (sweet chilli sauce).

Tash went for the parmesan crumbed chicken schnitzel with creamed corn & fennel slaw, and I went for this roasted cauliflower, chilli and mint spaghetti - which was incredible!

The menu is fairly traditional, with asian twists, and really healthy options also. I've heard their breakfasts are to die for so have a feeling I may be heading back to this place a few more times!

We'd already spied the desserts when choosing the mains and knew we couldn't pass one up. We went for a selection: the white chocolate and pistachio pavlova, salted caramel and chocolate pot and the citrus posset. All great options, but the pavlova won out as the all-round favourite....just look at it!!!

We had a long leisurely dinner and a much needed catch-up. For that purpose the service was perfect, but I wouldn't recommend heading here if you are in a rush. I will be going back though...even if it's just for that pavlova again. Or the breakfast. Or the wine....hmmm...
